AstLinux is a custom Linux distribution centered around Asterisk, the Open Source PBX. Although Asterisk remains the core focus, other VoIP applications such as OpenSIPS and FreeSWITCH are also available. AstLinux has many features that make it ideal for embedded and commercial Asterisk based solutions.
Astlinux 0.6.6 has been released with a new version of Asterisk (1.4.25). Upgrade either by using the upgrade function in the web interface or from the command line:

We are happy to announce that AstLinux 0.6.4 is available for upgrade. Changes include a new version of Asterisk (1.4.24), Asterisk-gui (svn 4618), netsnmp (5.3.2.3) and updates to the web interface. All users should upgrade to get this latest version which fixes several bugs in Asterisk and at least one security issue in Asterisk. Upgrade using the upgrade-run-image script from the CLI or by using the 'upgrade firmware' option on the system tab of the web interface. We will update this announcement when full download versions are available for new installs.

Support for FreeSWITCH has been added to AstLinux. At the moment we have compiled an ISO image of AstLinux-FreeSWITCH (better name coming soon) for testing purposes. It should run on generic i586 hardware (including VMWare, VirtualBox, etc). Details of this image:
